Follow Me Softly, Into the Earth

Inspired by the Photography of Alex Stoddard

There’s much I could say about the creation of this piece, as is always the case. There’s much I want to say. But I believe in the strength of its interpretative range, and divulging too much of its history could spoil that effect. It does owe credit, however, to the vision of Alex Stoddard, whose incredibly visceral photography planted the initial dreams that have now sprouted in this tale. Please explore his work via the link above and be on the look for his debut book, which will be released later this month.

And because of my obsession with the layers of the creative process, I felt inclined to include my accompanying playlist. Otherwise, I just ask that you think of this tale in the form of its title: as an invitation. And if you choose to follow me through its pages — tell me what you see.
